Hi all.  I need some advice.  My main area of expertice is NOT air compressors.  I've been in the HVAC design side for about 35 years, and still consider compressed air to be somewhat 'black magic'.

I need a solution to the mess that is being made when our automatic blowdowns trigger, and it blows the prime, oil, water and assorted debris all over the machine room.  I can't seem to find a solution anywhere on the net.

I've got a ball valve installed downstream of the blowdown valve in an effort to reduce the pressure in the drain line when it releases, but that just seems like a band aid to me.  I'm looking for a proven product or technique.  Any ideas?
